COMMUNITY OUTREACH
STEM for our
whole city
Hands-on STEM for thousands of Clifton kids every year — run entirely by our students.
01 — STEM FAMILY NIGHTS
A local tradition, four years running
Annual themed nights across nine Clifton elementary schools — from "Outer Space" to "Pirates" to "SPRING into STEM." Our students run every station, deliver presentations, and demo robots live. Every child leaves with a take-home STEM bag we fund and build ourselves.
02 — GIRLS WHO CODE
Closing the gender gap
Founded and run by our female team leads, our Girls Who Code chapter supports 30+ young women monthly in a program now in its second year — a supportive space to explore programming and directly address the gender gap in STEM at Clifton High School.
03 — INCLUSION
Robots that make everyone smile
With Clifton High's Unified Club, we host robotics inclusion events for students with disabilities — like our Snowman Robot, built from a prior-year competition machine with LED lights and a top hat. Our annual Halloween Extravaganza turns the school into a multi-room experience, complete with a candy-delivering Ghost Robot. With the Girl Scouts, our students have helped 25 scouts earn their Robotics Petals.
04 — SERVICE
Engineering with empathy
We believe STEM leaders must also be community leaders. Our technical skills are tools for service.
Veterans' Home of NJ
50 wreaths and $5,000 donated with Wreath It To Us in 2025. Annual Valentines for Veterans letters, bracelets, and 3D-printed gifts. Students fundraised SPEAX communication systems and humidifiers for a veteran battling ALS.
CARE Club at St. Joseph's
Monthly visits bringing robots, crafts, and "bags of love" to pediatric patients — proof that engineering can deliver comfort and joy.
Drives all year long
200+ birthday-supply sets donated to local food pantries since 2023, plus ongoing clothing, hygiene, and period-product drives, a Little Free Pantry, and our school's Rewards Closet.
